Lael’s room seems to be the one in the house that is constantly evolving. I loved the original color scheme and paint treatment. There were a lot of blood, sweat and tears put into those polka dots!! Alas, my baby girl grew up and out of pink and polka dots.  I don’t understand it, lol I mean who doesn’t love polka dots!! But, she had gotten to the point where she didn’t even wear anything with the slightest bit of pink on it anywhere.  {sigh}

So, after I sadly painted over the pink Lael’s room was a beautiful turquoise color.  I loved it as well but again, she who lives in the room wanted it changed…..And I can’t even find a picture of her room while it was turquoise.  Sad, I know.  I’m sure there is one buried on my computer somewhere.

Now, she has decided on grey. Really?  Grey?  I said, ok we can run with that – her yellow chest of drawers and teal duvet would still work. I was busy painting the foyer but when Lael decides she wants something done, she wants it done NOW! I told her that she could get started on it and I would help when I was done with the foyer. Well, she didn’t just get it started – she painted the whole dang room by herself.  I think she did a fantastic job. We still need to get some art for the walls, but I think it turned out great.
