I was just cruising around on the internet today and found a blog post about a design team call at May Arts. MAY ARTS!! For all of my non-scrapbooking friends, May Arts is THE go-to company for ribbon to use in scrapbooking or crafting projects. They have the most amazing selection of ribbon. And I adore ribbon. It is my most favorite thing to add to a scrapbook page. So, this post is my entry for the design team call for May Arts. Wish me luck!
My first project is one of my favorite scrapbooking layouts. It is from way back when Lael was a toddler. She was (and still is) a chocoholic. We had a bowl of Hershey’s kisses on the counter in the kitchen after Easter. I would allow to have her a few, but a few wasn’t enough for her! She wanted to eat the entire bowl. The series of photos on this scrapbook page documents her sneak attempts to empty the bowl and her fury at being thwarted.
My second layout is another favorite. This layout is one created with a photo I took of Chace at a photo shoot I set up in my kitchen. I love his expression in the photo, it is classic Chace. I altered the photo in Photoshop to B&W and then added back in his eye color and the yellow from his shirt for interest.
The last part for the design team call was to submit a project with a tutorial. I decided to use the tutorial I have here on my blog for the mixed media canvas I made for Lael.
