Lael’s Poetry

Lael totally takes after her Dad in this department.  She is really good at writing poetry, Todd is really good at writing poetry.  Me, not so much!  I pretty much stink at it completely!  Check out what she has written recently:

Apples Apples

Apples apples on a tree
all fall down just for me.
Caramel candy at a fair
Apples apples everywhere.

The Puppies

They are sweet, they are kind
all these things I think you’ll find
when you see the puppies.
They do not plot they are not cruel,
they have a funny tireless fuel.
They lick and lick
their names don’t stick,
all these things I think you’ll find
when you see the puppies.

Cloudy Imagination

The sky is blue the clouds are white,
it is not day it is not night.
Come along to explore my cloudy imagination.
Come upon the mountaintop misty, magical yes.
Pay attention do not dawdle,
please walk faster than a waddle.
Come along to explore my cloudy imagination.
The trees are laden with the leaves of early spring and fall.
If you walk you’ll come upon a small pass-through wall,
hidden upon a slippery path on the edge of an abyss,
if you listen you can hear a small hiss.
Come along to explore my cloudy imagination.
Do not worry you cannot fall
you’re caught in my drawn-out wish.
Come along to explore my cloudy imagination.

Salut,

Lael 😉
