This is the first year that Lael has been old enough to go to Encampment. I had no idea what to expect, and neither did my Brownie troop. We had 7 girls from our troop sign up to go. I was a bit anxious about taking them all, especially since I had never been. And 2 overnights? After I signed us up to stay 2 nights, I got a bit worried that might have been too much. But, it all went really well. The first night they had a bit of a hard time getting to sleep, but eventually everyone did. The next day was full of fun stuff and it started off bright and early before 6. It didn’t matter that the girls didn’t get to sleep til nearly 11! They were up with the chickens and there was no going back to sleep. This meant that we were one of the first troops to the mess hall for breakfast. After breakfast the girls all had scheduled activities. Lael’s favorite was archery. She enjoyed the pony ride also.
