Clothespins and Suncatchers

Clothespins and Suncatchers

I needed something small [read:  cheap] for my craft booth.  You know what I mean, one of those items that doesn’t cost a lot that people will drop into their basket because, “It’s just a couple of dollars”.

So, I decided to pretty up some cute, small clothespins I’ve had in my craft stash.  I have no clue where I got these babies from, but I love them.  I painted them, decorated them and added a magnet to the back.  They are the perfect size to stick on your fridge to hold photos or grocery lists, or invitations or you may just want them to make the fridge look pretty!

Then I remembered a fun project I did with the twins a while back with craft beads – Melting them to create suncatchers.  I got out some metal cookie cutters and filled them up with a colorful range of craft beads and popped them in the oven.  A short and stinky time later, voila!  Suncatchers!!  I love how they turned out, but I do not love the burnt plastic smell that hung around my kitchen for hours!!

Say what?
