I’m so proud of my niece! She graduated from high school in the top 10 of her class and received a Presidential scholarship to UA. She is also an amazing athlete, playing tennis and volleyball. Plus, she’s absolutely beautiful! Brains and beauty!! She gets that […]
I have a friend who claims she isn’t crafty but I think ahe’s been holding out on me! She threw a spectacular 50th birthday party for her sweet hubby. Not only did she make ALL the scrumptious food but she also decorated like a crafty […]
Finally, getting my craft booth closer to my dream. Still not quite there, but closer!
This is another group post for a bunch of stuff I made for my craft booth. We have tissue boxes, a ticket souvenir box, serving trays, takeout menu box and a Save/Spend/Give box. They all started out life as something else, in another form and […]
I snagged a new booth space at The Crafty Behr. This space has wooden beams across the top so I needed some hanging items. I immediately thought of windchimes because I love them!! I made three different ones using beads, shells, glass sea rocks and […]
These are super simple, fun to make and are a super cute addition to a shelf or the top of a dresser. They are humble 2×4’s who have been elevated to art! Ha-Ha!! Seriously though, just grab some scrap 2×4’s and start painting. I added some metal accents on some, paint details and vinyl lettering – plus a little ribbon on top.
Ok, so maybe just lights. These are a few different lights I’ve made for my craft booth. Well, I didn’t actually make the light – you know, I just made them pretty!
These are a bunch of different project all smashed into one post. I don’t have any files associated with any of them available for download, and not a lot of instruction I can give you for how I made them, so I thought I would […]
I needed something small [read: cheap] for my craft booth. You know what I mean, one of those items that doesn’t cost a lot that people will drop into their basket because, “It’s just a couple of dollars”.
So, I decided to pretty up some cute, small clothespins I’ve had in my craft stash. I have no clue where I got these babies from, but I love them. I painted them, decorated them and added a magnet to the back. They are the perfect size to stick on your fridge to hold photos or grocery lists, or invitations or you may just want them to make the fridge look pretty!
Then I remembered a fun project I did with the twins a while back with craft beads – Melting them to create suncatchers. I got out some metal cookie cutters and filled them up with a colorful range of craft beads and popped them in the oven. A short and stinky time later, voila! Suncatchers!! I love how they turned out, but I do not love the burnt plastic smell that hung around my kitchen for hours!!
Lael’s cheerleading team is going to Cheer Camp at UA. I think I might be more excited about it than she is! I remember how much fun I had when I went, but of course she doesn’t want to hear about that!! Ha!! Anyway, I […]
Since the canvas makeovers went so well for the twins, I have kept an eye out for painted canvasses at my favorite thrift store. I promise, there is always at least one – and always cost less than a dollar. I mean, who in their […]
